For people experiencing severe pain associated with peripheral artery disease (PAD), the combination of a stenting and exercise may be the keys to a better quality of life. A study presented at the 2013 American Heart Association Scientific Sessions found that endovascular stenting, followed by a supervised exercise program, produced better pain relief in PAD patients than exercise therapy alone.
