New studies of pulmonary hypertension (PH) treatments are offering hope to the patients who have the condition and those at high risk for developing it. PH is relatively uncommon, but it can be caused by a range of health problems. These include lung disease, blood clots in the lungs, left-sided heart failure, and conditions youre born with, such as sickle cell anemia and congenital heart defects.
