A cardiac CT scan can be a very useful test in the right circumstances. In particular, in someone with a low likelihood of coronary artery disease, a CT scan can be useful for definitively ruling out the possibility. However, with several stents in place, it may be difficult for the CT scan to "see" through them. Therefore, if the goal is to see if your stents are open, short of a repeat cardiac catheterization, a stress test may be the best way to find out.
