Statistics actually show that women are five times more likely to die of heart disease than breast cancer.

In a recent survey, the majority of women interviewed said their doctors advised them to get a mammogram and Pap smear. However, only 38 percent said their doctors talked to them about preventing heart disease. This may be doing women a great disservice. According to the latest American Heart Association (AHA) Heart and Stroke Statistics 2007 Update, heart disease is an enormous problem among women in the United States.
