Q I came down with a bad cold and decided to take two products to help me breathe in the daytime and at night and another to clear my congestion. My blood pressure, which is generally under control, skyrocketed! Did I overdo it? Should I have gone to the ER?

It is rare to need to go to the emergency department for elevated blood pressure, unless it comes with symptoms such as new chest pain or shortness of breath. It is oftentimes fine to wait and see if blood pressure comes down.
