Q. I have restless legs syndrome (RLS) and recently heard that it might be a sign of heart disease. Is this true?

A

Yes. In 2013, researchers found a connection between RLS and increased risk of death from all causes in men. The same researchers then found a significant association between RLS and increased risk of death from heart attack, stroke and other cardiovascular causes in women after other causes of death had been excluded.
