Common Food Chemical May Protect Against Type 2 Diabetes
Flavonoids are phytochemicals found in richly colored vegetables, fruits, dark chocolate, tea and wine. A study published on May 22, 2024, in Nutrition & Diabetes found that high consumption of flavonoid-rich foods lowered the risk of developing type 2 diabetes (T2D).
