As all kids learn at an early age, your thigh bones connected to your hip bone. But other parts of the body are connected in ways you might not suspect. In fact, two recent studies confirmed that your breasts are connected to your heart. The presence of breast arterial calcifications (BAC)-benign, as far as breast cancer goes-signify increased risk of coronary artery disease (CAD), found a study published in the February 2011 issue of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The finding did not surprise Leslie Cho, MD, Director of Cleveland Clinic Womens Cardiovascular Center.
